Summit reports that the six hotels traded will produce a net gain of $36.6 million. The six hotels in the markets of Minneapolis-St. Paul, Boston, Santa Barbara (CA), Dallas and Salt Lake City totaled 815 rooms.

Atlanta saw 8.2 megawatts of net absorption in 2018. The city currently has a data center inventory of 126.8 megawatts, with 14 megawatts available that calculates out to an 11% vacancy rate.

For multifamily developers, the addition of short-term rentals gives them the ability to incorporate an entirely new tenant into their planning and modeling, mitigating risks associated with vacancy.
