Rock Group Names Design/Construction Head

NEW YORK CITY—The hiring of industry veteran John Pierce comes at what the Rockefeller Group’s Daniel Rushin calls “an important time for the company as we advance several of our largest projects in many years.”

NEW YORK CITY—John Pierce has joined the Rockefeller Group as SVP, Design & Construction. He now oversees the company’s construction projects on a national basis; co-president and CEO Daniel Rashin says the appointment comes at “an important time for the company as we advance several of our largest projects in many years and focus on growing our development pipeline.”

Specifically, the Rockefeller Group is redeveloping 1271 Ave. of the Americas in Manhattan, a $600-million repositioning undertaken with the help of architectural firm Pei Cobb Freed. The company also has developments underway in Chandler, AZ; Atlanta; Cranbury, Florham Park and Wayne, NJ.; and Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley.
