Michael G. Desiato is Vice President & Group Publisher of ALM's Real Estate Media Group, the publisher of GlobeSt.com, Real Estate Forum, Real Estate Southern California, Real Estate New York, Real Estate New Jersey, Real Estate Florida, and the RealShare Conference Series. He is responsible for the overall publishing environment and operations, including news content, budgeting, sales and marketing strategies, and Internet content initiatives.

As co-founder and editorial director of GlobeSt.com, this 27-year industry veteran was instrumental in the creation of a nationwide bureau designed to deliver breaking, daily news to the commercial real estate industry. Michael is also the former president of the National Association of Real Estate Editors, an organization comprised of 600 real estate journalists and professionals from a variety of editorial disciplines.

An experienced moderator and speaker, Michael is also host of “Inside the Real Estate Mind,” a signature presentation of the RealShare Conferences. His guests have included real estate icons and visionaries from Sam Zell and securitization finance pioneer Ethan Penner to John A. Buck, chairman & CEO, the John Buck Co., and Robert F. Maguire III, chairman and CEO, Maguire Properties. He is regularly called upon by major industry organizations, such as the Urban Land Institute and Building Owner’s and Manager’s Association International to participate in panels.

He is a member of BOMA International’s Education Advisory Council. Michael has a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Ohio University, Athens, OH.

Editorial Director John Salustri has covered the commercial real estate industry for more than 20 years and, in his capacity as editor, he is responsible for the overall tone, accuracy and timeliness of GlobeSt.com, managing a nationwide staff of nearly 20 bureau chiefs and reporters. His areas of expertise encompass virtually all aspects of the market, from mergers and acquisitions and REIT activity to finance issues and globalization. John has been involved in GlobeSt.com since before its launch and played a vital role in the creation of the industry's first true Web-based daily news site.

John, a two-time recipient of the Excellence in Journalism award from the National Association of Real Estate Editors, came to GlobeSt.com from a five-year stint as editor of Real Estate Forum. Prior to that, he was founding editor of sister publication Real Estate New York and was instrumental in establishing the tone and reputation for the magazine throughout the tri-state New York market.

Ian Ritter is GlobeSt.com’s national online editor, overseeing the editorial content of the website. He also writes the site’s Counter Culture retail real estate blog. Ritter was formerly the national online editor of GlobeSt.RETAIL when that website launched in the fall of 2004. Formerly, he was an associate editor at Shopping Centers Today magazine and is a graduate of Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism. Ritter has also worked at newspapers in the Seattle and Chicago areas.

Ryan Clark is GlobeSt.com's managing editor and is responsible for the style, consistency and integration of the site’s content. He oversees the Multi-family, Technology and Green sector pages, as well as covering and editing the Boston-metro/New England region. Clark is a graduate of Boston University and previously worked as a freelance editor and writer online and for small, print publications.

Carl Cronan heads the Southeast bureau for GlobeSt.com and also serves as editor of Real Estate Florida magazine. He has covered commercial real estate in Florida for the past decade and was real estate editor of the Tampa Bay Business Journal prior to joining Incisive Media in November 2007. His extensive journalistic experience over more than 20 years includes stints at newspapers in Alabama, Georgia and Florida, covering subjects ranging from high school sports to presidential events. He is a graduate of the University of Alabama with a bachelor’s degree in communications.

Katie Hinderer is the Midwest bureau chief and the Around the Globe editor for GlobeSt.com. In this position she oversees the Chicago-based reporter and covers the breaking news throughout the Midwest and abroad. Before moving back to the Midwest in 2007, Hinderer served as the Northeast bureau chief for GlobeSt.com. Prior to joinging the team here, Hinderer was the Midwest, office and industrial reporter for Commercial Property News. Her background includes stints at the New York Times, REALTOR Magazine and the Milwaukee Business Journal.

Amy Wolff Sorter is Southwest Bureau Chief for GlobeSt.com, where she reports and writes about deals and trends impacting the region. A veteran reporter and editor with more than 25 years of experience, Sorter has worked with a variety of publications and media including the Dallas Morning News, Bridge Financial News, Dallas Real Estate News, Real Estate Southern California, Real Estate Forum and American City Business Journals.

Natalie Dolce, editor of the West Coast region for GlobeSt.com and Real Estate Southern California magazine is responsible for editing daily news for her team of reporters, as well as writing and editing content for the regional publication. Previously, Dolce served as West Coast bureau chief and co-managing editor of GlobeSt.com and prior to moving out to the Southern California office, Dolce served as Northeast bureau chief, covering New York City news daily. Dolce’s background includes a stint as assistant managing editor of Commercial Property News. Most recently she worked with InStyle Magazine, and as managing editor with New York Press, an alternative weekly New York City paper. In her career, she has also covered a variety of beats for M magazine, Arthur Frommer’s Budget Travel, FashionLedge.com, Co-Ed magazine and The Daily Orange newspaper. Dolce has also freelanced for a number of publications including MSNBC.com and Museums New York magazine.

Brian Miller is a veteran commercial real estate reporter who has been with GlobeSt.com since its inception in 2000. Prior to that, he was senior real estate writer and editor for the Portland Business Journal, where he won regional and national awards for his breaking news, features and quarterly real estate magazines. Prior to that, he worked for daily newspapers throughout the Northwest, covering everything from state legislatures and public companies to city governments and small business.
