Eric Scheidlinger Scheidlinger: “The recovery, as far as California goes, started in San Francisco, moved down to L.A. and is now hitting hard in San Diego.”

SAN DIEGO—San Diego was one of the slowest markets to recover from the recession, but it is now getting up to speed with construction projects that had been on hold, RENO Contracting’s director of project management Eric Scheidlinger tells GlobeSt.com. Scheidlinger recently participated in the Society of Marking Professionals’ 8th-annual San Diego roundtable event for general contractors. The event, which drew more than 100 attendees, gave them the opportunity to meet company representatives and hear about current and upcoming projects, target markets, teaming opportunities and what the companies look for in creating strong partnerships. General contractors included Balfour Beatty Construction, McCarthy Building Cos. Inc., Reno Contracting Inc., Level 10 Construction, Kitchell, Rudolph and Sletten Inc., C.W. Driver, PRAVA Construction Services Inc., Good & Roberts, LLC, Barnhart-Reese Construction, Burger Construction, Swinerton Builders and Sundt Construction Inc.
