WS Capital Adds 474,000-SF Hilldale to Portfolio -- At Last

MADISON, WI-WS Capital Partners has completed the final step in claiming ownership to the 474,000-square-foot Hilldale Shopping Center. The Boston-area buyer, which shelled out $52 million for the center’s mortgages last spring at the Dane County sheriff’s sale for the distressed retail asset, made it through the 45-day appeal period without the defendants appealing Dane County Court’s sale confirmation.

Located at 702 N. Midvale Blvd. Hilldale Shopping Center is anchored by Macy’s Target, Metcalfe’s Market and Sundance Cinemas. Other retailers include Anthropologie, North Face and Title Nine.  The property was built during the 1960s, and has been through several extensive renovations.
