LOS ANGELES-The Southern California Chapter of CoreNet Global recently held its annual REmmy Awards and Charity Gala, recognizing the best in corporate real estate. Close to 300 real estate professionals were in attendance.

The evening’s festivities were hosted by Elise Luckham, vice president director of corporate real estate for First American Corp., and Kirk Solomon, senior vice president of facility services for Paramount Pictures Corp. The event was held at the JW Marriott at LA Live in downtown Los Angeles, and the title sponsor was Howard Building Corp.

As part of the annual gala, the chapter also made a $25,000 donation to the local chapter of non-profit, Junior Achievement. This organization gives back to our communities by empowering children with financial literacy and entrepreneurship skills, according to a prepared statement.

Industry Excellence recognizes CRE industry organizations that have successfully implemented innovative programs and raised the bar for excellence and best practices. The winner was Wells Fargo for the Wells Fargo/Wachovia merger and integration.

Leadership in Economic Development recognizes leadership, best practices and innovation in economic development representing national, state, regional and local interests. The winner was the City of Riverside for Completion Counts.

Leadership for an Innovative Project is an award that celebrates those leaders who serve the needs of Corporate Real Estate who understand that today innovations in design, construction and development must do more than meet industry standards. The winner was HKS for Salt River Fields.
