Hackensack

HACKENSACK, NJ – The City Council, in a unanimous vote, has given the green light to a redevelopment plan that will add more than 200 housing units to the area.

The redevelopment project calls for a mixed-use development of 230 residential units as well as ground floor retail on several parcels between Warren and Bergen Streets.

“Hopefully, this is the first step and the project that will kick off the overall Main Street development progress”, Mayor Mike says in a report in The Record. “We’re hoping for a quick shovel in the ground and to see others join quickly to move this redevelopment forward.”

The redevelopment could include rental apartments or condominiums in buildings of up to six stories. The properties would feature a fitness center, a common room on each floor and rooftop amenities. See story in The Record.
