SAN FRANCISCO-Those who follow @GlobeStcom on Twitter and @GlobeStLIVE may have seen a post teasing the announcement, but GlobeSt.com has learned that veteran commercial real estate broker David Linsmayer has joined Avison Young’s San Francisco as principal. In that role, he will focus on brokerage services, including the representation of corporate tenants, investors and landlords, as well as capital markets and advisory services transactions in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Linsmayer brings 22 years of real estate industry experience to Avison Young in the areas of office, industrial and retail leasing, commercial property valuation and appraisal. He has represented a wide variety of clients in the fields of finance, insurance, technology, professional services, biotech, law, education, environmental, and non-profit.
During the last 15 years, Linsmayer has negotiated 2,000-plus leases on behalf of his clients representing more than 6.5 million square feet throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and US.
From 2008 to 2013, Linsmayer was as a SVP with Jones Lang LaSalle in San Francisco. Before then, he served as a VP and original member of the San Francisco office of the Staubach Co.
Linsmayer’s clients include Pfizer, CNN, Time Warner, the University of Pennsylvania-Wharton, Medivation, The Carlyle Group, Charles Schwab & Company, Celgene, Environmental Defense Fund, Cantor Fitzgerald, ZoomSystems, Almac Clinical, and JP Morgan.
