JLL Names O'Brien CEO, Americas

CHICAGO—JLL promotes from within as Greg O'Brien moves up and John Gates takes over head of Americas Markets.

CHICAGO—Jones Lang LaSalle has just promoted Greg O’Brien from the head of its Americas Markets business to CEO, Americas, where he will report directly to Colin Dyer, the president and CEO of JLL. And JLL has also moved John Gates from the presidency of Real Estate Services, Americas, and named him CEO, Markets, where he will oversee the firm’s brokerage, capital markets, project and development services, property management and retail businesses across the US.

O’Brien already sits on the firm’s Americas Executive Committee, and helps set its strategic direction. He will now head the group and also join the Global Executive Board.
