340 Fremont Tops Out

SAN FRANCISCO—A topping-out ceremony for 340 Fremont, the 40-story residential community in SoMa was held recently ahead of schedule, according to Jim Kelly, first vice president of development for Equity Residential. Construction on the for-lease multifamily high-rise began in April 2014 and is on schedule to be completed in July 2016. There will be 348 units in the building when completed.

Kelly tells Globest.com: “The topping out of 340 Fremont represents a significant milestone in the collaborative vision for the next generation of high-rise apartment living in SoMa. The articulated façade of 340 Fremont presents four different architectural interpretations, depending upon your viewing perspective. And more importantly for future residents, the expansive views of the city and Bay are truly spectacular, enhanced through its Rincon Hill location and the thoughtful architecture that maximizes those views within the residences.”
