MIAMI—The historic Bath Club, a private members club sitting on more than five acres with 500 feet of beach along the Atlantic Ocean in Miami Beach, is up for grabs. It was originally developed in 1926.

In the roaring ‘20s, The Bath Club was one of the premier social clubs catering to the wealthy in the United States. President Herbert Hoover was a member.

Colliers International South Florida listed the asset. Engels and Volker’s Irving Padron is collaborating with Colliers to market the Miami Beach property. The sale price may exceed $25 million.

“The iconic Bath Club offers investors a rare opportunity to own an historic property that reflects Miami’s distinguished past and evolution into a world class city,” says Gerard Yetming, the Colliers International South Florida broker marketing the property. “There are a number of income-producing possibilities for potential buyers ranging from membership plans, private events to restaurant and lounge options.”

Located at 5937 Collins Avenue, the property includes 15,000 air-conditioned square feet space with a fitness center, pool and hot tubs, a spa facility and tennis courts. The original club buildings have been preserved.

A portion of the original property was redeveloped into 112 luxury condominium residences in 2006. The resales of the residences currently range from $1.6 million to $4.5 million.

Included in the listing are the historic buildings and courtyard with several rooms and restaurant and bar areas with over 20,000 square feet of space; a large commercial kitchen that can serve of 1,000 guests; 60 cabanas; 12 dedicated parking spaces; Business Tax Receipt (formerly known as Occupational license) that allows for food and drink service on the Beach; and operation of the Club facilities until 5 a.m.
