The Crowdfunding Industry Is Just Getting Started

LOS ANGELES—Patch of Land has no plans to slowdown. Earlier this week, the crowdfunding platform named Paul Deitch, formerly a managing director at Oaktree Capital, as its new CEO. With Deitch as CEO and co-founder and former CEO Jason Fritton now serving as executive chairman, the firm is launching more lending products and, now that the model is proven, expects rapid growth.

“We are all about solutions-based lending with a real understanding of the serial investor who needs an organization that recognizes their track record and that knows how to underwrite a property, but that is also quick to close and is able to do that effectively with technology,” Deitch tells GlobeSt.com. “I think we are going to continue to do that across more spectrums of those needs.”
