SAN CARLOS, CA—Construction is underway on the 204-room Residence Inn by Marriott Silicon Valley at 595 Industrial Rd. Located immediately adjacent to the 101 Freeway and within two miles of Oracle’s headquarters, the hotel will serve the region’s technology-based business community. In an area that is home to 16 Fortune 500 companies, including Apple, Intel, Facebook and Google, and thousands of entrepreneurial startups, the hotel will help to meet the extended-stay needs of the area’s business travelers. Construction is planned for completion in summer of 2017, says R.D. Olson Development of its latest hotel development.

“The San Carlos market has a unique need for extended-stay product. In fact, a large number of visitors to the area stay between seven nights and three months,” said Bob Olson, founder and CEO of R.D. Olson Development. “With Residence Inn by Marriott Silicon Valley, we look forward to providing a comfortable and convenient environment for these visitors, and others, to re-energize, work and play.”
