ATLANTA-Commercial brokerage firm Colliers International has signed a new 35,000-sf lease at the Promenade office tower in midtown Atlanta.

The deal, reported by building owner Cousins Properties Inc., is an expansion of Collier’s office presence in midtown Atlanta. Collier’s move to the Promenade, scheduled for February 2014, will consolidate its midtown and Central Perimeter offices into one location, leaving room for Colliers to expand beyond its current roster of 150 Atlanta employees. The firm has leased space in midtown since 1986.

“We’re thrilled to consolidate our Atlanta operations at Promenade,” states Bob Mathews, president of Colliers International Atlanta. “The central location in the heart of Midtown−coupled with Cousins’ comprehensive improvements to the building−makes it a perfect place for Colliers to retain and recruit top talent while continuing to grow the business in the years ahead.”

Cousins acquired Promenade, a 774,000-sf Class-A office tower, in November 2011. Since the acquisition, the building has gone from 58% to 77% leased. Among the improvements to the Promenade complex since Cousins became owner have included a redesigned 15th Street entrance and garden, an enhanced parking deck, a new fitness facility, Bistro 1230 and The Bean Counter coffee shop.
