Sugar Beach is a Viceroy Resort with 78 guestrooms on a 125-acre estate.

ST. LUCIA, West Indies-Savills Hospitality Group, a US-based unit of an international real estate services firm, has been retained by Jalousie (1996) Ltd. as its exclusive advisor to assist in raising joint venture equity or debt for the expansion of Sugar Beach, a Viceroy Resort here.

Formerly known as The Jalousie Plantation, Sugar Beach is an 18th-century, British Colonial-style resort set within an approximately 125-acre estate in the valley of the Pitons, a UNESCO World Heritage-listed site.

“Sugar Beach is the finest resort in St. Lucia and one of the very best in the Caribbean,” said Marc Magazine, executive managing director of Savills LLC. “Both the owner and Viceroy have proudly collaborated on an exquisite renovation and look to expand the resort and its highly devoted client base.”

The resort features 78 guestrooms, six restaurants, white-sand beach frontage, a world-class spa and numerous recreational amenities. The property has undergone a multi-million dollar renovation since its acquisition in 2008.  The transformation to Sugar Beach, a Viceroy Resort was completed in 2012.

Plans call for the addition of 36 keys, with a combination of Luxury Sugar Mill Rooms and Luxury Villas, including two Luxury Treehouse Villas.

The owners of Sugar Beach are highly regarded as successful owners and operators of hospitality projects in Europe and the United States. The Viceroy Hotel Group is a leading global operator of luxury hotels and resorts.
